HANA YORI DANGO WAS AWESOME. I am heartily a fan of Hanazawa Rui. He is always there for you. He is so gentle and caring…. and he understands. I WANT RUI. BADLY. I havn’t fallen head over heels over a character for a long, long time….probably not since Chiaki in Kamikazekaitou Jeanne.
Hanadan definitely made me fall back in love with Utada Hikaru too. Flavor of Life was PERFECT for season 2.
and for season 1, Planetarium by Ootsuka Ai. Definitely her best song ever, by far!
Hanadan definitely rivals Hanakimi for me. I want the manga series for both of these….

Unlike the Korean's HYD version where Rui's equivalent ….ends up being 10X BETTER.
Additionally, in You're Beautiful.. the 'Rui's equivalent' is the one you have lemmings for.

And yes, the cast is spectacular in HYD….. MAN I LOVE RUI. Matsumoto Jun is great too but OGURI SHUN!!! aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh.

Having said this, did you know Ai Otsuka’s Cherish was the theme to one of the story arcs in Liber. It’s also a gorgeous song. I really need to catch up on her discography. The only CDs I still collect are from her and FF paraphernalia.
